Release & Reconnect: A Somatic Movement + Sound Healing Experience
Release & Reconnect: A Somatic Movement + Sound Healing Experience
Saturday, June 6 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Led by Gayla Downey, RYT-500 (she, her)
Founder of Grateful Heart Rituals
Class Description
This session is an invitation to gently let go of what your body has been holding—and reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more authentic way.
Release & Reconnect blends somatic yoga, intuitive movement, breath, and sound healing to support your nervous system, and the unwinding of stored tension. Rather than forcing release, this experience honors your body’s natural rhythm—allowing space for softening, expression, and integration.
Through slow, guided movement and moments of intuitive exploration, you’ll be invited to notice sensation, follow your body’s cues, and safely discharge what no longer needs to be carried. This may include subtle movement, breath, or simply allowing awareness to bring shifts.
We’ll close with an immersive sound healing journey using Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, designed to support emotional clearing, integration, and deep rest—helping the body settle into a renewed sense of ease and connection.
This offering is especially supportive for those feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and for anyone seeking a safe space to process and release.
This session is 1 hour and 45 minutes; 9:00 to 10:45AM.
What to expect:
• Somatic movement to support release and body awareness
• Opportunities for intuitive, self-led movement
• Guided breath awareness
• Sound healing for integration and restoration
What to bring:
• Water
• Yoga mat or props (if you have your own) We have some here.
• Optional: journal for reflection
