Classes, Groups, & Trainings
At Empowered Spaces, our classes, groups, and trainings are spaces to learn, heal, and grow together — rooted in embodiment, relationship, and collective care. Each offering is designed to support healing, nervous system nourishment, and the practice of showing up to life with more presence and compassion.
Offerings include Yoga, Movement & Somatic Classes, Soundhealing & Expressive Arts, and Therapy Groups.
Our classes and groups are facilitated by members of the Empowered Spaces Collective. Each practitioner or teacher operates their own independent business and offers their work through our shared space. Empowered Spaces does not supervise or direct these offerings; each facilitator is responsible for their own class or group.
Yoga Classes
Coming Home to Your Body
Fridays, 10:30-11:45am
Stress, overwhelm, and trauma can make it difficult to feel connected to ourselves and others. Yoga is a practice for healing—and can be a powerful support alongside psychotherapy. At its heart, yoga is about restoring harmonious connection—to our bodies, our senses, the present moment, and our communities. Whether you’re healing after a long-term injury, dealing with everyday aches and pains, or hoping to experience more safety and ease in your body, this practice has something for you. This class is less about doing postures “right” and more about getting curious and learning to listen to your body with care.
Pre & Postnatal Yoga
Tuesdays, 9:00 - 10:00 AM
Led by Dr. Savannah Carlson, PT, DPT, RYT-200, Women’s Health Physical Therapist (she/her)
Nurture and strengthen your mind and body as you prepare for birth and rise to the challenges of parenthood. This yoga class is designed to meet the needs of your changing body while you navigate each stage of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Each class combines movements that build your strength and encourage mobility, all while soothing your nervous system and giving you the time and space to turn inward. No yoga experience is necessary. Your non-mobile baby is welcome! This workshop is appropriate for postpartum individuals and pregnant individuals in any trimester.
Movement & Somatic Classes
Awareness Through Movement ®
Thursdays, 10:00 - 11:00AM
Led by Kelly Feder GCFT (she/her), Guild Certified Feldenkrais Teacher
The Gift of Awareness Through Movement. One of the gifts of a Feldenkrais practice is broadening our capacity to know thyself. To learn, not only better movement, but better ways to think, adapt, create and be with the challenges of living a full life. Prioritizing the quality of the movement rather than the achievement of it, students engage their curiosity, let go of will and solve each puzzle in their own timing. The learning is fun, challenging and often times surprising. Slowing down and reducing your efforts, you will investigate and discover unconscious preferences and habits of action. Whether you are interested in getting rid of everyday aches and pains, improving your athletic or artistic performance or coping with a chronic health issue. FELDENKRAIS WILL EMPOWER YOU to become your own teacher. Students of the Feldenkrais Method are endlessly astounded that doing less can lead to so much more flexibility, power, spontaneity, ease, freedom, ability, joy

Expressive Movement uses the power of movement, breath, and sound to inspire you to release pain and suffering to connect to love, harmony, and peace in a compassionate transformation. If you participated in the previous practice with Margie, this time will be different (new poses/techniques) from what you experienced before. Each practice offers and invites a different transformation.

Quieting the Storm is a 12-week therapeutic empowerment group for teen girls in high school (an inclusive space for all teen girls). Since 2009, these sacred spaces have offered support and comfort that invites each individual to explore and reconnect with her most authentic selves as she learns valuable tools to help navigate her world. Individuals find connection with one another while working on building self-compassion, confidence, self-awareness, healthy coping strategies, and skills to develop healthy relationships.
