Who We Are

Where our story, values, and vision grow from.

Our Roots

Empowered Spaces grew from a simple truth —
that healing and belonging are inseparable
.

Founded in 2018 by Kelly Caul, MSW, LCSW, SEP, a somatic trauma therapist with a vision to create a space where individual and collective healing could coexist.

Empowered Spaces is a collective of integrative psychotherapists, trauma specialists, licensed massage therapists, yoga teachers & yoga therapists, meditation teachers, activists and other wellness professionals — all tending to the same vision: a world where care is embodied, equitable, and accessible to all.

From our therapy rooms to our community garden, we root our work in the truth that healing is both personal and collective.

We understand that trauma is carried not only in individual bodies, but in communities, lineages, and systems.

So our approach honors both — the inner work of the nervous system, and the outer work of justice and connection.

We draw from decades of trauma-informed and somatic expertise — integrating practices like Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, and mindfulness-based approaches

but what guides us most is relationship: the moment-to-moment attunement that allows healing to unfold safely and authentically.

Our roots are relational.
Grown through collaboration, nourished by care, and sustained by the belief that when one of us heals, we all heal.

To nurture connection, resilience, and healing — in ourselves, our relationships, and our communities.
Through trauma-informed and integrative care, we’re growing a culture of belonging that is accessible, equitable, and rooted in justice.

Our Mission

Our Vision

We envision a world where healing is collective, justice is embodied, and care is woven into everyday life —
a world that honors our interdependence, celebrates our diversity, and allows everyone to live with joy, dignity, and wellness.

Our Values In Practice

We are Values-Based and Purpose-Driven

  • Every part of you is welcome here.

We believe you are inherently whole, even if you’ve forgotten that truth.

Here, you can feel seen, valued, and understood — just as you are.

Because belonging isn’t something you have to earn; it’s your birthright.

  • Your body isn’t the problem. It’s the pathway.

We help you gently reconnect to your body’s signals — to listen, to feel, to move, to rest.

Through somatic and nervous-system-informed care, you learn to trust the wisdom your body has carried all along

  • We celebrate your right to choice, self-determination, bodily-autonomy, and sacred sovereignty.

We want you to show up in your POWER, and feel capable and inspired to make decisions that are in alignment with what you need and what you value.

  • Healing doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in relationship.

At Empowered Spaces, connection is medicine.

We prioritize building trust and cultivating safety.

Through our community garden, classes, gatherings, and collective care programs, we practice what we believe: that when we show up for one another, we all heal a little deeper

  • We know that trauma is not just personal — it’s collective. None of us can truly be well until we are all well.

We live within systems that often disconnect us from safety, nourishment, and belonging.

That’s why our healing work is justice-rooted — because your body’s liberation is tied to collective liberation.

In the garden, in the therapy room, and in our groups and classes, we are growing a culture of care that resists harm and cultivates equity.

From our therapy rooms to our garden soil, we root our work in the belief that when one of us heals, we all heal.
